Effective 1/1/2020 Tyson is partnering with BARInet to provide coverage for bariatric surgery / weight loss surgeries.

*Pre-Authorization is required for bariatric surgery and will be handled by BARInet. Members will need to contact BARInet to confirm eligibility and finalize enrollment.

Healthy Tots is a free pregnancy program available January 1, 2014 to Tyson Members (Active Employees) and covered spouses who participate in the Tyson Group Health Plan. As a mother-to-be in the Healthy Tots program you will be assigned a personal nurse that will assist you throughout your pregnancy and be available to answer any of your questions or concerns. BlueAdvantage Administrators of Arkansas will send you two free educational packets, the book “What to Expect When You’re Expecting,” and other small gifts for participating.

Healthy Tots Nurses will help member obtain electric and manual breast pumps.

Blue 365 is a wellness program provided by Blue Cross Blue Shield Association and available through your My Blueprint account.

Team members and spouses covered by the Tyson Group Health Plan, and subject to the biometric screening wellness program, can participate at no cost in six (6) 30-minute coaching sessions delivered over 12 weeks with a Health Solutions health coach focused on healthy weight management. Wellness Program, annual health screenings, alternative goals for incentives and appeals.

Diabetic testing supplies, glucometers, insulin and needles are only eligible for coverage through Caremark.

*This does not include Continuous Glucose Monitors (CGM) which fall under DME benefits under the medical plan and is subject to coverage criteria being met.*

Members can request a Certificate of Creditable Coverage (COCC) per ERISA guidelines.

Effective March 13, 2020 Doctor on Demand visits are covered at 100% with no cost sharing responsibility for the member

Visit a doctor via video from your computer, tablet or smartphone.

Doctor on Demand is a fast, easy way to talk to a doctor online and via mobile devices. These services are now eligible for coverage by the medical plan, just like a regular doctor visit, and usually at a lower cost. The service will apply to the members medical benefits based on the plan selected. Associates enrolled in an HRA plan or HSA plan will:

1. Pay a much lower cost than a regular doctor visit.
2. Have access to DOD services prior to reaching their deductible.
3. Have the amount they paid applied to their deductible and out-of-pocket.

Exclusions: Psychiatrists are not covered through the Doctor on Demand program.

New Hire Enrollment for Tyson employees.

Requires prior approval. Services rendered without prior approval by local Arkansas service area participating providers will be denied as provider write-off. Other services will be considered eligible if coverage criteria is met; otherwise denied.

For inpatient precertification and benefits related to Residential Treatment Centers (RTC) please refer to New Directions. Transfers from a RTC to a step down programs for Partial Hospitalization (PHP) or Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) services please refer to New Directions. All other behavioral health services are handled by BAAA.

Smoking Cessation Program

Progyny will administer an infertility treatment program utilizing their network of providers. Infertility treatment will continue to be considered an exclusion of the Tyson medical Plans administered by BlueAdvantage.

Rethink provides support to parents raising children with learning or behavior challenges, or developmental disabilities at no cost to the member. Rethink provides parents with a variety of resources, training, and support in a simple web-based format. There will be no claims transmitted to BlueAdvantage. Customer Service and Care Management teams need to be aware of this service for referrals, as appropriate.

COBRA eligibility issues, enrollment, billing inquiries

A digital care exercise therapy program designed to address chronic back, knee, hip, neck or should pain. Each element of the program is delivered digitally.
